MALE
Jackson Bowen
Pike Liberal Arts School
Bowen earned a .500 batting average in Pike Lib’s semifinal series win over Reeltown to help propel the Patriots into the state championship. Bowens also stole four bases in the series, scored three runs and drove in a run.
FEMALE
Payton Ousley
Charles Henderson High School
Ousley became a back-to-back state champion this week after winning not one, but two, state championships in the AHSAA 4A-7A State Track Meet. Ousley won the gold in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. She also won a state championship in the 100-meter dash last season.
