Troy-Pike Technology Center students sign with local industries

Huck Treadwell Troy-Pike Center for Technology student Saniya Northington was awarded a full scholarship to Troy School of Cosmetology.
Huck Treadwell Troy-Pike Center for Technology student Akierra Cornell signed with Dorsey Trailer.
Huck Treadwell Troy-Pike Center for Technology students signing with Kimber are Michael Gabel and Logan Sullivan.
Huck Treadwell Troy-Pike Center for Technology students signing with Lockheed Martin include Aaron Lumford, Kamareon Toney, Deaisha Collins, Cody Boyette, Logan Linton, Kyasia Gaston, Tiauza Roberson and Haley Owens.
Huck Treadwell Troy-Pike Center for Technology students signing with the Alabama Army National Guard include Abigail Pollard, Madison Hawkins, Jamaryian Hall, Makayla Thomas, JoKariana Lightfoot, Gabrielle Jackson, Jayla Williams, Asia Lewis, JoCeriauna Thomas and Jamarcus Franklin.
The Troy-Pike Center for Technology held a job signing for graduating students on Friday.
Twenty-two students will go to work or advance their education after graduation. TPCT Career Technical Director Jamie Rich said this was the third senior signing event the center had held. She said the signing was a way to recognize the students that will make a successful transition into their careers.
“Our purpose is to make sure our kids are college or career ready when they graduate,” Rich said. “We’re here to guide them along that path, but it’s the students that do all the hard work.”
In addition to the signing, TPCT also held a career fair to bring students together with local industries that are looking for qualified employees.
