Troy Police Chief Danny Barron confirmed on Monday that shots were fired behind Wooddale Apartments in Troy on Sunday, May 4. 

There were no injuries but some vehicles were struck by the gunshots, said Barron. Wooddale Apartments is located on Folmar Street in Troy near the campus of Troy University.

According to Troy University Police, officers responded to reports of shots fired just before 9 p.m. at the apartment complex. Responding officers determined that there was no ongoing threat to the campus or community. While a lockdown was not ordered, campus police escorted students who were attending on-campus meetings at the time to their vehicles or residence halls.
