Pike Lib’s Jackson Booth awarded John Williams Memorial Scholarship

At the Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation (ACF) Scholarship Banquet in Montgomery on May 2, Pike Liberal Arts School senior Jackson Booth was awarded the John Williams Memorial Scholarship. 

Booth plans to attend Mississippi State University to pursue a degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences. Booth, the son of Kevin an Karri Booth of Brundidge, was one of 160 students awarded by the ACF, which serves to engage in educational and scientific activities to improve the beef cattle industry in Alabama and educate youth on the importance of beef cattle. 

A total of $152,750 in scholarships were awarded by the ACF at the banquet. The ACF has awarded scholarship money each year to Alabama youth with more than $1.5 million being awarded to date.
