Don’t miss the Beautifully Twisted Tent at Thunder on the Three Notch

Thunder on the Three Notch at the Pioneer Museum of Alabama on Friday and Saturday, May 2 and May 3 will feature a variety of demonstrations that will be of interest to all ages.
Of special interest, Tanatha Latham will be back at the request of many visitors to the 2024 Thunder on the Three Notch.
“Tanatha’s wire weaving demonstrations are amazing,” said Barbara Tatom, museum director. “She shared that wire weaving dates back to the Egyptians and she will share information about wire weaving and its popularity in the year 2025.”
The wire weaving demonstrations at Beautifully Twisted Tent will be at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 and 3 p.m.at the Beautifully Twisted Tent.
For the youngsters, there will be opportunities to visit the museum’s general store and walk through the door of the old schoolhouse where they can write on the blackboard with chalk.
There will be a circuit riding preacher in the church house with his horse. And, the blacksmith always draws a crowd.
Barbara Tatom, museum director, said demonstrators at “Thunder” will feature Native American cooking, rope making, twining and quilting and moccasin making. And, all to the backdrop of traditional music.
