Goshen’s Tyler McLendon commits to Wallace-Selma

This week, Goshen senior baseball player Tyler McLendon committed to accept an athletic scholarship to Wallace Community College in Selma.
McLendon finished off his senior campaign with a .554 batting average, seven doubles, two triples, 19 RBIs, 27 runs, 17 stolen bases. He also boasted a .613 on-base percentage and a .723 slugging percentage.
McLendon was a utility for the Eagles, playing a multitude of positions, including pitcher and catcher. In total, McLendon pitched 19 and 1/3 innings and fanned 35 batters. He also tallied 102 putouts, 17 assists and one double play with a .930 fielding percentage. He also caught nine runners stealing as a catcher.
