The Troy Trojans didn’t have any players selected in the NFL Draft this season but receiver Landon Parker signed as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts.
Parker came to Troy in 2023 after starting his career with Wofford as a receiver and punter. He caught 40 passes for 803 yards and three touchdowns in his final year at Wofford before transferring to Troy.
Parker was a part of Troy’s 2023 Sun Belt Championship team, catching eight passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. He returned to Troy in 2024 and caught 27 passes for 350 yards as a senior. As a Trojan, the North Carolina native, caught 35 passes for 478 yards and one score. He also completed a pass for 29 yards.
The 6-foot-2-inch, 211-pound receiver showed out at Troy’s Pro Day during the pre-draft process. While he wasn’t invited to the NFL Combine, the 40-yard dash time he put up at Troy’s Pro Day would have been the seventh fastest at the Combine. His vertical leap would have also tied for the sixth most at the Combine and his broad jump and three-cone drill would have been the second best among receivers.
Additionally, Troy cornerback Damaje Yancey earned a Rookie Mini Camp invite from the Buffalo Bills. Last season, former Trojan Don Callis received a minicamp invite and would end up signing with the Green Bay Packers. As a senior, Yancey recorded 48 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, two sacks and nine pass breakups.

Former Trojan Caleb Ransaw was also selected in the third round of the NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ransaw, a Harvest native, started his college career at Troy, helping the Trojans win the 2022 and 2023 Sun Belt Championships. He recorded 81 tackles, six tackles-for-loss and an interception in three seasons with Troy and was named All-Sun Belt in 2023.
Ransaw transferred to Tulane after former Troy head coach Jon Sumrall was named head coach there. Ransaw tallied 33 tackles, four tackles-for-loss and one sack as a senior this past season. He earned All-Conference honors with Tulane, as well.
Also, former Trojan Tez Johnson was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Johnson, a Birmingham native, started his college career at Troy and was the Trojans leading receiver on the 2022 Sun Belt Championship team.
As a freshman, Johnson caught 11 passes for 211 yards in 2020 and then caught 67 passes for 735 yards and four scores in 2021. He caught 56 passes for 863 yards and four touchdowns in 2022 and was named All-Sun Belt in both 2021 and 2022.
Johnson transferred to Oregon in 2023 to play alongside his adopted brother, Bo Nix. Johnson caught 86 passes for 1,182 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023. He also caught 83 passes for 898 yards and 10 more scores this past season, even winning Big 10 Championship MVP honors after catching 11 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown in Oregon’s 45-37 win over Penn State.
Additionally, Wiregrass native Jalen White signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent, as well. White was a record-breaking running back at Daleville High School, setting the state single-season rushing record as a senior while amassing an eye-popping 3,517 yards and 51 touchdowns.
White played his entire collegiate career at Georgia Southern, earning All-Sun Belt honors in 2022, 2023 and 2024. This past season, he rushed for 744 yards and 13 touchdowns on just 163 carries. For his college career, White rushed for 3,016 yards and 36 touchdowns on 573 carries with 365 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
