The Southeast Alabama Community Band will present a special concert at 7 p.m. Monday, May 5 at the Claudia Crosby Theater on the campus of Troy University. The concert is free and everyone is invited.

The evening band concert will be sponsored by the Troy Arts Council and will include recognition of local artists, arts educators and arts supporters in addition to the band’s 25^th Anniversary Concert.

Troy Arts Council President Maggie Hammond said, each year, the Southeast Alabama Community Band’s spring concert is a highlight of the TAC’s season.

“We’re proud to sponsor the Southeast Alabama Community Band in concert each year,” Hammond said. “And, we’re especially excited to celebrate the band’s 25^th anniversary this spring.

“The Southeast Alabama Community Band’s performances have become a wonderful tradition in our community. The Troy Arts Council is honored to be a part of it.”

The concert is a not-to-be-missed community event. This is a special concert in that it represents 25 years of dedication to band music and to the Southeast Alabama community. Don’t miss this milestone community band concert.
