Both the Charles Henderson Trojans and Lady Trojans won their Class 5A State Soccer Playoffs matchups on Thursday to advance to the second round.

The Lady Trojans (9-3-2) shutout Eufaula in their first round game. Arahy Arellano led CHHS with two goals, while Reece Garrett added one goal. CHHS will face off against Carroll in the second round at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 28. 

The boys team (9-1-6) also defeated Carroll by a score of 3-1 in the first round on Thursday. Jealin Atwell led CHHS with one goal and one assist, while Wyatt LIndsey added one goal. Robert Lindsey scored one goal and Daniel Frigge dished an assist. Jayden Hall also earned six saves at goalie for the Trojans. 

The Trojans will host Andalusia in the second round on Tuesday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m.
