Troy Regional Medical Center is one of just eight hospitals in the State of Alabama to receive a 5-star rating for cleanliness from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS).
The ratings are based on patient surveys on their experience during recent inpatient hospital stays. Patients completed the surveys between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024, and the data was updated on Jan. 8, 2025. Along with being just one of eight hospitals in Alabama to receive 5-stars, Troy Regional is also one of just 374 hospitals to receive that honor in the entire country.
“We place cleanliness very high on our list of priorities because this is so important for patient care and satisfaction,” said Troy Regional CEO Rick Smith. “We are pleased to see that the hard work and dedication of our EVS team and our staff has paid off.”
Troy Regional partners with Forefront for environmental services.
Troy Regional was also recently designated as a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital in the country, as well, as the only hospital in the state to receive such an honor. Troy Regional’s emergency department also recently received a Women’s Choice Award, based on patient experience ratings. Cleanliness of the room and bathroom was also one of the areas that Troy Regional got an excellent rating for in that distinction, as well.
