Braydon Arnette, Pike County High School senior, and a member of the Pride of Pike Marching Band, has received a full, four-year band scholarship to Troy University.

Dr. Mark Wallker, director, Troy University’s Sound of the South Marching Band, presented the scholarship award to Arnette at Pike County High School on Wednesday.

The scholarship will provide a full ride at Troy University and Arnett is very deserving of the confidence placed in him.

Arnette, of the Needmore Community, has been ‘in band” for six years. He has played in all bands at PCHS, the jazz band, concert band and marching band.

“I appreciate the band scholarship,” Arnette said. “I will work hard and practice diligently so that I will be worthy of  the confidence placed in me by the awarding of a full band scholarship to Troy University.

Arnette said he is looking forward to being a student at Troy University and being a member of the Sound of the South Marching Band that is widely well-known and respected.

He expressed appreciation to his parents, Kimberly and Tony Arnett for their support of him and their understanding of and appreciation for his dedication to band music.
