The Charles Henderson Trojans and Lady Trojans will host the first round of the Class 5A State Playoffs next week. 

The Trojans (8-1-6) earned a 3-1 win over Andalusia on Senior Night on April 17. Daniel Frigge led CHHS with two goals, while Robert Lindsey also scored a goal. Jayden Hall earned five saves at goalkeeper. 

The Lady Trojans (7-4-2) also secured a 2-1 win over New Brockton on Thursday. Arahy Arellano and Savanah Turner scored one goal each. Emma Neff also tallied four saves and Kaleyah Blaire added three saves at goalie. 

Both teams will host the first round of the 5A Playoffs on Thursday, April 24. The girls will play Eufaula at 5:30 and the boys will face off against Carroll at 7:15 p.m. The second round of the playoffs are scheduled for May 1-3 with the quarterfinals beginning on May 7 in Huntsville.
