Every year, the Pike County Cattlemen’s Equipment Auction gets bigger and bigger and was bigger again this year.
Cattleman Johnny Garrett said at, the close of the auction on Saturday, 1,452 items were going, going and gone.
“This year’s auction was one of the best,” Garrett said. “A lot for hard work went into the 2025 island we couldn’t have an auction without items for sale and without bidders and buyers.
“And, we couldn’t have an auction without the Pike County Cattlemen and Women and all the volunteers.
“We thank everyone who brought items for auction and the bidders and buyers. They are the success of the auction.”
The success of the auction depends on many people and on many things.
Garrett said the Pike County Cattlemen’s Equipment Auction is held on the first Saturday in April unless that is Easter weekend.
“People know when the auction is held so they can look ahead and prepare for it, the sellers and the buyers,” Garrett said. “And we always have something of interest to someone.”
The auction also has two auctioneers so the bidding and buying move rather quickly.

Together, the high bids and low bids made the 2025 Pike County Cattlemen’s Equipment yet another success.
