- Jaine Treadwell Jamious Williams, Ag Academy student, said the academy has been a great learning experience for him and a directive to his future. The ferns are selling fast and at a great price.
A chill was in the air early morning Tuesday but that didn’t keep people away from the Pike County Schools Agriscience Academy’s Annual Plant Sale on the campus of Goshen High School.
Christian Stanley, agriscience instructor, said the chilly morning didn’t keep people away; they just came a little later.
“We’re having a good start for our 2025 plant sale,” Stanley said. “We have a wide selection of plants and at good prices.”
The hanging baskets are among the first being sold, with the ferns leading the way.
“We expected the hanging baskets to go fast and they are,” said Cody Eiland, agriscience instructor. “But we’ll continue to have a lot to choose from including Spider Plants, Wax Begonias and Geraniums.”
In addition to hanging baskets, the sale will have a variety of plants including coleus, lantanas, New Guinea impatiens, wax begonias, salvia, succulents and six-packs of vinca, petunias, watermelons, and tomatoes.
Hours for the plant sale are 7:45 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. through Friday.
