Grow Southeast Alabama (GSEA), a coalition for economic development across 11 counties, has announced the names of the scholarship recipients for the GSEA Workforce Development Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship towards a two -year trade program at a community college within Southeast 11-county footprint.

Akierra Cornell of Goshen High School is among the honored seniors.

This scholarship is made possible through a partnership with Southeast Alabama Works.

Many of the Grow Southeast Alabama counties are adding funds from their local economic development authorities to further support these student scholarships and contribute to workforce development in their respective counties.
