Springtime is here, it seems, and the Johnson Center for the Arts continues to be as busy as bees.

Andrea Pack, JCA executive director, said April 12 is the date for the JCA’s typical Second Saturday Studio and what a day it will be.

Liphus Swindall will be onsite from 9 a.m. until noon teaching principles and techniques of mixed media painting.

“If you have seen Liphus’ work, it has a sculptural 2D quality,” Pack said. “ He adds cardboard, fabric mesh, packing materials and other easily accessible  items to bring dimension to his paintings and the result is very dynamic.”

Registration for the Liphus Swindall’s “Second Saturday Studio  class is only $1 and space is limited.
