GoFundMe account established for child hit by car

A GoFundMe account has been set up for a child struck by a car on Feb. 28.
The accident occurred on Pike County Road 5516 near the intersection ofU.S. Highway 231, approximately one mile south of Troy. The child was airlifted to Alabama Children’s Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.
The GoFundMe account was organized by Ebony Williams, the mother of Devon Williams, who was injured in the accident.
“While Devon recovers to lighten the worry for Ebony, a charitable donation will be highly appreciated,” the GoFundMe page states. “Proceeds will go towards traveling expenses, that of bills that may accumulate as she’s trying to manage their families livelihood throughout this saddening time. Gifts for young Devon in which could be purchased to encourage a steady recovery as he navigates his traumatic experience while on the road to recovery. Words of encouragement are needed for Ebony as she patiently waits and prays for her son’s health. Any amount of donation or encouragement will be a blessing and will show that Devon was thoughtfully in our prayers as well as give reassurance that he has a good community by his side throughout his journey to a full recovery.”
