Pike County BOE approves personnel actions

The Pike county School Board approved the following personnel actions:
Travel
- Approve request for Emily Pilot to travel to and attend the AASBO Annual Conference, April 29 – May 2, 2025, in Perdido Beach, AL. Funding – General Funds.
Approve request for Maranda Knight, Elijah Gilbert, Ronnie McCollough and students from the Construction, Cosmetology, Plumbing and Welding departments to travel and compete in the 6th Annual Alabama State Leadership and Skills Conference, April 21-23, 2025, in Mobile, AL. Funding – student funds and Perkins Grant. - Approve request for Jeremy Knox to travel to and attend the ACTA Spring Director’s Conference, April 16-20, 2025, in Orange Beach, AL. Funding – Perkins Grant.
- Approve request for Jeremy Knox to travel to and attend the Alabama Arts Summit, April 7-8, 2025, in Birmingham, AL. Funding – AAEI Grant.
- Approve request for the Technology Department to surplus and dispose of old technology items. Please see attached list.

- Approve request to employ three teachers, outside of our district, ChristyLittle, Shannon Jimerson and Amanda Challancin, as contracted services for the JROTC STEM Camp, May 29-30 & June 1-6, 2025. Funding – JROTC STEM Grant.
- Approve request for Amy Garrett & Kim Sellers to fill the following positions for the JROTC Wiregrass STEKM Leadership Academy. Amy Garrett, Academy Coordinator and Kim Sellers, Master STEM Instructor. Funding – JROTC STEM Grant.
- Approve request to hire two PCS Nurses, Pam Moates and Kaylee Lindsey, as contracted services for the JROTC STEM Camp, May 29-30 & June 1-6, 2025. Funding – JROTC STEM Grant.
