Over the weekend, the Troy Police Department responded to an incident in the Publix parking lot in Troy where a deceased individual was found. 

Pike County Corner Jennifer Ventress confirmed that first responders responded to an incident in the parking lot at Publix but was unable to confirm anything else. On March 22, the Troy Police Dept. shared via social media that TPD was investigating a medical call at Publix parking lot and that there was no threat to the public. When contacted, TPD would not comment on the situation other than to confirm the incident occurred and a deceased individual was found in the parking lot of Publix. The name of the individual will not be released.
