A Sunday night single-vehicle crash near Eufaula claimed the life of Shannon L. Napper.

Napper, 42, was fatally injured when the 2012 Cadillac CTS she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. The crash occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m. on March 23, according to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). The Eufaula woman was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The crash occurred on Cottonhill Road near Nolan Road, three miles west of Eufaula, in Barbour County. Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
