On March 26, Troy University student Darius Cabell will debut his play “Uncle Louis’s House” at Crosby Theater on the campus of Troy University.
The comedy/drama is described by Cabell as being about a “family that goes to a relative’s house for a vacation and from there, everyone experiences a roller coaster of emotions and many secrets are revealed.”
Cabell, who wrote the play, said he decided to do it as a way to bring some laughter to the community.
“I decided to do the play because I feel that Troy needs some laughter and a place to come enjoy themselves all while getting an important message through the production,” he said.
Cabell said that this will be his third stage play that he’s written.
“I am highly excited to do this stage play,” he said. “I just can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Cabell, a freshman at Troy University, is originally from Clarksville, Tenn., before moving to Panama City, Fla., where he graduated from Rutherford High School. Cabell is a freshman theatre major at Troy.
“Uncle Louis’s House” will premier on March 26 at Crosby Theater at 7 p.m. with free admission. Claudia Crosby Theater is located at 601 University Avenue on the campus of Troy University.
