Since the year 1995, the Brundidge Historical Society has presented a variety of events that

have proven successful. To continue the folklife entertainment activities and events that relate to Alabama history, more members and volunteers are needed.

So, on Sunday, from 2 until 4 p.m. the BHS will host open house at the We Piddle Around Theater.

“We are looking forward to continuing the events that have been successful for us and adding one, maybe two, events to our calendar,” said Johnny Garrett, BHS president.

However, to continue with the BHS’ current and proposed events, more members are needed and also volunteers to participate in one event or more events. Garrett said.

“For some members, their interest is our folklife play as a storyteller, a musician, a set designer or a dozen other opportunities”.

Then, there are those whose interest is only in promoting events or selling tickets, to be part of community activities, and entertainment that relate to the history of our extended community, Garrett said.

“Everyone is invited to come and learn more and, hopefully, join us in all our piddlin’’ around.”
