The Pike County Salvation Army Service Center was busy Monday serving camp stew to those who have been affected in different ways by the Saturday night storm and the following weather conditions.
Donna Kidd, service center director, said people were affected in different ways including home damage and others by damage to businesses.
“Sometimes, we don’t know who is in need of assistance,” Kidd said. “So, we just wanted to serve camp stew to those who needed and appreciated someone extending a caring hand.”
Kidd said the Pike County Salvation Army Service will again offer camp stew to those who who responded to or were affected by the storm in many different ways.
The Salvation Army will be serving camp stew again today beginning around noon until the pot is empty. Residents who received damage and those who responded to the storm conditions are welcome.
