Charles Henderson’s Kam Christian, Pike’s Jackson Mitchell named All-State

Charles Henderson High School’s Kameron Christian and Pike Liberal Arts School’s Jackson Mitchell both earned Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) All-State honors.
The 2024-2025 All-State Basketball Team was released on Saturday. Christian was named Class 5A Third-Team All-State. Christian averaged 12 points, five rebounds and two steals per game during the season and was named Area Tournament MVP.
Mitchell earned Class 2A Honorable Mention. Mitchell averaged 16.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.4 steals per game. He also took 29 total charges as a junior. Mitchell is the first Patriot to ever earn All-State honors as a part of the AHSAA.
The Messenger’s All-Messenger Basketball Team will be revealed next weekend.
