BPD chief arrested by U.S. Marshals

Brundidge Police Chief Sam Green was among three people arrested by U.S. Marshals on Thursday morning.
According to Doug Howard, public affairs officer for the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Middle District of Alabama, Samuel Cornelius Green, Sharon Jones Green and Schemilla Levra Fenn, were taken into custody by United States Marshals. Howard said all three were in custody and had been transported to federal court in Montgomery and are awaiting arraignment on charges related to fraudulent use of federal funds for rentals.
Howard said more information would be made available later today.
