The downtown square in Troy will be “the place to be” tonight for people of all ages who “just wanna have fun.” There will be no cover charge at Fuse Coffee tonight so come and have a fun and unique experience with Christopher Davis at Fuse Coffee.

For three years, the Master of Improv Chris Davis has been coming to the local area to bring improve outreach to area schools in Pike and Crenshaw counties.

Expectations are that Davis will be working with over 200 students while in Pike and Crenshaw this week, either introducing or reintroducing students of different ages to “Improv.”

Davis said the term “Improv” is a shortened form of the word ‘improvisation’, which means to make it up as you go.

Often “making up as you go,” is a very difficult practice that comes easily to children, but less so to teens and adults who worry about how they will appear to others. But the irony, Davis said, is that the better abilities one has in Improv, the better self-presentation skills one has in daily life, such as dealing with clients or unexpected situations at work, responding positively to others and supporting them, communicating with people from different backgrounds, and putting yourself in their shoes.

Another skill that Christopher Davis teaches is storytelling. The art of a good story is finding the unique and then providing variances in the way it is told.

So, no matter the age or the willingness to stand up, step out and have fun along the way, Fuse Coffee is the place to be tonight. Don’t miss the fun with Davis at Fuse.
