The Pike County Salvation Army is busy making plans for the spring.
“We are needing auction items, soups, and sponsors in support of our programs and projects especially for the spring,” said Donna Kidd, director of the Pike County Salvation Army Service Center. We always receive strong support from Pike County and it is much needed and greatly appreciated.”
Everything at the Salvation Army is moving along even though donations are down a little bit,” Kidd said. “Volunteers are always needed, especially long term volunteers who would like to come often to assist at the Service Center or with current projects.
“Volunteers are always needed; especially long term volunteers that would like to come often. We are in the process of two new hires, a truck driver, and a Social Services worker. We expect both of them to be a huge blessing for us.
“Mrs. Helen is retiring after 17 plus years. Her last day will be March 28. She will be missed, and she is leaving big shoes to fill. We feel especially blessed to have been able to work with her every day. We thank Mrs. Helen for caring about us and what we do. We appreciate her so much.”
