CHMS competes at BetaCon in Montgomery

The Charles Henderson Middle School Jr. Beta Club traveled to Montgomery to compete in BetaCon 2025.
The CHMS students competed in more than 40 academic themed competitions against teams from all over the state. All of the competitors had specific roles and involvement in the various competitions and challenges. The CHMS Beta Club prepared for months, putting in numerous hours of work, to get ready for the competition.
CHMS Beta Club’s Top 5 finishes included a fifth place finish in the Book Battle, fourth in Technology, second place in the Quiz Bowl and fourth place in Living Literature. In individual competitions, Chris Frigge took fifth in Eighth Grade Computer Science, Chuck Sutter finished fourth in Seventh Grade Science, Abby Jordan claimed fourth in the Seventh Grade Social Studies, Jane Pack captured bronze in Poetry, Charlie Jo Moran earned second in Creative Writing and fifth in Sculpture, David Dawson claimed fifth in On-Site Drawing, Ada Cellon won fourth in Pottery and teacher Amanda Nolin won Educator of Excellence Award.
