Swanson denied parole for burglary convictions

Troy man Jeremy Swanson was denied parole on Feb. 19 for a series of burglary convictions in Pike County.
Swanson was originally charged with two counts of first-degree burglary and four counts of third-degree burglary in connection to a string of burglaries in the downtown area of Troy in April of 2017. These burglaries included both home and business burglaries. Swanson was ultimately sentenced to more than 15 years in the Alabama Department of Corrections for first, second and third-degree burglary convictions.
Swanson has served four years and one month of his sentence. The 33-year-old is serving his sentence at Limestone Correctional Center.
The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles voted to deny Swanson’s parole. He will be eligible for another hearing in February of 2030.
