The average gas price in Troy was 6-cents more than the state average on Monday, but still less than the national average. 

According to AAA Alabama, the average price per gallon for regular gasoline was $3.14 nationally and for the average in Alabama was $2.78. 

Gasbuddy.com’s price tracker had seven gas stations in Troy with reported prices. Prices ranged from $2.79 at Murphy USA to the high of $2.89 at Chevron. The average price in Troy was $2.84 based on price reports for seven stations. Both the Citgo and Marathon in Brundidge were reported at $2.89 per gallon. 

Reported prices on GasBuddy.com in Ozark ranged from $2.70 to $2.79; Luverne ranged from $2.85 to $2.89; Union Springs were $2.89; Dothan ranged from $2.54 to $2.68; and Montgomery ranged from $2.47 to $2.64.

Last week, GasBuddy.com-reported prices for the same cities were: Troy ranged from $2.82 to $2.89 per gallon; Ozark, ranged from $2.72 to $2.79; Luverne ranged from $2.79 to $2.80; Union Springs were $2.89; Dothan ranged from $2.59 to $2.72; and Montgomery ranged from $2.54 to $2.65.

Nationally, Alabama had one of the lowest averages in the nation with $2.78. Prices in contiguous states were: Mississippi, $2.66; Tennessee, $2.75; Georgia, $2.98 and Florida, $3.08.
