- Jaine Treadwell Patsy Gibson, owner of Crowe’s Chicken in Brundidge, congratulates Adrian McKinny as the owner of Crowe’s Chicken in Ozark with plans to open March 7. McKinny has worked for Gibson for 18 years. He thanked her for preparing him for the opportunity ahead.
For some time now, the City of Brundidge has been abuzz with the street talk that Crowe’s Chicken was moving to Ozark.
Since 1999, Patsy Gibson has made certain that Brundidge has had something to Crowe about.
It is said that town folks would rather the end of time come than for Crowe’s to close.
“No, Crowe’s is not closing,” Gibson said with a smile. “I have not even given closing Crowe’s a thought. People from Brundidge and all around have been mighty good to support us, so, we’re here and plan to stay.”
And, what does Gibson think about a Crowe’s opening in Ozark on March 7?
“I wish CooBear, (Adrain McKinny), great success,” Gibson said. “He has worked at Crowe’s here in Brundidge for 18 years, and, as the manger, he knows all the ups and downs of Crowe’s and he will do great. I wish him the best.”
McKinney said, although he will miss being at Crowe’s in Brundidge, he is excited about the opportunity to own a Crowe’s Chicken restaurant.
“For about two years, I have been thinking about owning a Crowe’s so this is the opportunity I have been looking for and hoping far.
“Patsy has given me a chance to learn the business and, now, I have I have a chance to see what I can do with it.”
Crowe’s in Ozark is located behind McDonald’s. Plans are to open on March 7.
