Pike Lib hosts golf tournament

The Pike Liberal Arts golf team hosted its Pike Lib Golf Tournament at the Troy Country Club on Tuesday. 

On the boys side, Opp earned first place with Andalusia in second, Charles Henderson in third, Elba in fourth, Pike Lib and St. James tied for fifth, New Brockton sixth, Kinston seventh and Carroll in last place. 

For Charles Henderson, Parker Knick shot a 74, which was good for a top three individual score in the tournament. Cole Pugh also shot 82, Liam Grinde shot 80, Carter Rhodes shot 98 and Colton Peoples shot 86. 

Pike Lib’s Sawyer Keck shot a 77, while Carter Nelson shot 83, Chase DeBoer shot 104 and Braden Shirley shot 84. 

The Pike Lib girls earned a first place finish with Andalusia in second, New Brockton in third and Kinston in fourth. 

Pike’s Avery Greene was the medalist in the tournament, shooting an 83, while Taylor Ellis shot a 98, Alden O’Connor shot 116 and Abbie Roblee shot 111. Hannah Chang also competed in individual action for Pike and shot a 98.
