Troy Planning Commission cancels Thursday hearing after plat approval request is withdrawn

The Troy Planning Commission’s planned public hearing for Feb. 20 has been cancelled after a request for a preliminary plat approval was withdrawn.
A preliminary plat approval request was originally made for a potential new subdivision called The Pines, located on 178.71 acres west of but not including, 201-309 (odd) Old Cabin Road, 301 Sweetbriar Drive, 205 and 207 Brookwood Drive, and 101 and 103 Cross Creek Circle; south of, but not including 211 and 301 Sweetbriar Drive, 207 Brookwood Drive, 103 Cross Creek Circle, and 210 Boxwood Road; east of, but not including, 101 Pine Ridge Drive, 504 and 506 Barron Road, and 1308 Elm Street Road; and north of, but not including, 309 Old Cabin Road and 1308 Elm Street Road; and with right-of-way frontage or access on Elm Street Road, Barron Road, Brookwood Drive, Briarwood Drive, Sweetbriar Drive, Old Cabin Road, and an unnamed street right-of-way in the R-1: Low Density and RR: Reserved Residential Zoning Districts.
Due to the withdrawal of the request by the applicant, the City of Troy Planning Commission will no longer hold its public hearing and/or consider the request. The Troy Planning Commission will still hold its regular session at 5 p.m. in the Troy City Council Chambers at Troy City Hall.
The Commission will hold a hearing for a combined preliminary and final plat approval request for Universal Properties located at and south of 1005 S. Three Notch Street in the M-1: Light and M-2: heavy Industrial Zoning Districts.
