Those who have a special quilt, or quilts, that they would like to share, are invited to participate in the Pioneer Museum of Alabama’s 2025 Biennial Quilt Show March 1-29 at the Pioneer Museum of Alabama.
Barbara Tatom, museum director, said the show is not limited to heritage quilts.
No matter the age, the size of the quilt or whether it’s hand stitched or machine stitched, every quilt will have a place in the Pike Pioneer Museum of Alabama’s 2025 Biennial Quilt Show.
Quilt entries are not limited to those made by a single quilter, the quilt may be made by several quilters or by quilting clubs.
Tatom said quilts that have been recently stitched and those from generations ago will have a prominent place in the Pioneer Museum of Alabama’s 2025 Biennial Quilt Show.
“Each quilt will be registered, tagged and very carefully handled,” Tatom said. Already lot of interest is being shown in displaying quilt. The museum’s biennial quilt show generates a lot of interest among quilters and those who enjoy the handiwork for quilters, then and now.
