Donald Davis, the Dean of Storytelling, will be back at the We Piddle Around Theater for a one-night performance at 6:30  p.m. on Saturday, March 1.

Davis has been a traditional teller at the “Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival since its first year, 2007.

However, Davis and his wife, Trish, were iced in on Ocracoke Island during the 2025 Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival but their thoughts were in Pike County, Alabama. And, the Dean of Storytelling was not going to let a little ice storm from keeping him for piddlin’ around.

Johnny Garrett, BHS president, said the BHS is honored to have Donald Davis at the We Piddle Around theater for the one-night storytelling concert.

“We are excited and appreciative to have Donald Davis close out our 2025, Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival that includes Kevin Kling, Kim Weitkamp, Andy Irwin and now, Donald Davis,” Garrett said.

Tickets for “For an Evening with Donald Davis” are $20 may be reserved by calling 685-5524 or 670-6302 and picked up at the theater.

Cathie Steed ticket chair, said there will be no dinner with this storytelling concert but  guests are invited to come early or stay after and enjoy one the city’s downtown restaurants, Monarcas, The Pizza Palace and Crowe’s Fried Chicken.”
