The Pike County Sheriff’s Office and the Bryant family are searching for Jeffrey “Jeff” Bryant, who was reported as missing for more than a month.
Bryant, 40, was living on County Road 2273 in Springhill with a relative. His sister-in-law Trista “Tia” Green, said the family was concerned for his safety and were asking anyone with any information to contact the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 334-566-43-47. Green said people could also call her at 386-288-2095.
Green said Bryant was last seen on Nov. 13 when he left to go hunting. Green said Bryant had been missing for about 10 days before it was reported to the PCSO. She said Bryant would often stay with other people for a few days before returning. However, she said the family was concerned because he left his belongings and cell phone at the relative’s home.
“We didn’t report it for a few days because of his living situation,” Green said. “He would leave and stay here and there and then come back. He had been hunting a lot lately and he left with a shotgun. So we think there may have been a hunting accident.”
Green, 40, is a white male approximately 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing approximately 175-pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his arms, hand and legs.
Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas said a report had been filed with his office and an investigation was underway.
