Just about every Christmas season, the Johnson Center for the Arts finds a different way to say, “Merry Christmas!”
And this year is no exception.
The Pike County Art Guild and the Montgomery Art Guild have come together for a collaborative art show that features works of art by a host of artists for the local area as well as amazing artists from the Montgomery area, said Reba Allen, JCA graphic artist.
“This show features some of every kind of art you can imagine – acrylic, watercolor, oil, folk, sculpture and more,” Allen said. “No matter what kind of art you prefer, the combined Pike County Art Guild and Montgomery Art Guild will have it.”
The show will include a large number of familiar names here in Pike County including Mike Benton, Amanda “Kitty”Smothers, Steve Brown, Rebecca Carr, Neil Brantley, to name just a few.
The Art Guild’s show will close on January 3. Until then, the JCA will be open to the public during regular JCA hours – from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with the exception of Thanksgiving week.
Admission to the JCA is always free.
