On Nov. 30, the Troy Trojans football team will face off against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in the season finale and it will also serve as Judy Morgan Day.
Troy Athletics announced on Monday that the school would celebrate the 30-year career of Troy Football secretary Judy Morgan before she retires following the season.
“Ms. Judy is such an integral part of Troy Football and has been for over 25 years,” Troy Athletic Director Brent Jones said. “Her impact has been felt by coaches, staff, players, parents and fans. She has acted as a second mother to thousands of young men who have come through this program.
“We congratulate Ms. Judy on her retirement and encourage everyone who has been impacted by her to join us for Judy Morgan Day at The Vet.”
Morgan came to Troy in 1994 and has served with Troy Football since 1999. Morgan has worked with five Troy head football coaches and been a part of 10 conference championship teams.
Prior to the Southern Miss game, a tailgate will be held in Tailgate Terrace for all returning members of the football program to visit with Morgan, and she will also help lead the team in Trojan Walk.
During the game, a special presentation will take place at the end of the first quarter with all returning players, coaches and staff members invited to join Morgan on the field, where Troy legend Larry Blakeney and Janice Blakeney will be among those in attendance.
Troy will also be honoring the 2009 Sun Belt Conference Championship Troy team during the Southern Miss game.
All former football student-athletes, coaches and staff who have worked with Morgan are invited to join the celebration. To RSVP for the event and secure complimentary tickets to the game, visit TroyTrojans.com/Judy.
