The Brundidge Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred Monday afternoon.

Brundidge Police Chief Sam Green said the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Main Street.

Green said one person was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. He said a second person is in custody.

Green said the investigation is currently ongoing and more information will be released at a later time.
