Goshen competes in Enterprise Volleyball Tournament

This weekend, the Goshen Lady Eagles traveled to Enterprise to compete in volleyball tournament action.
During pool play, Goshen started off with a 2-0 win over JAG, formerly Jeff Davis. Goshen won both sets 25-18 and 25-19. The Lady Eagles lost 2-0 to New Brockton, falling 25-6 and 25-10 in both sets. Next, Goshen was swept by Rehobeth 25-10 and 25-11. Finally, Goshen lost in two sets to Providence Christian, losing 25-12 and 25-11 in both sets.
During pool play, Alyssa Sparks earned one ace, four kills, one assist and 22 digs, while Laila Hussey tallied two aces, 18 assists and eight digs. Marley Childs tallied four aces, two kills, three blocks and one dig, while Alyssa Pippen earned two aces, nine kills and 25 digs. Anicka Almine totaled two aces and 19 digs, while Tarangi Taylor contributed eight kills and three blocks.
When bracket play begin, Goshen was eliminated in the first round by Kinston by a score of 2-1. Goshen won the first set 25-23 but fell in the next two sets, 25-19 and 25-10. Sparks led Goshen with two aces, two kills and six digs, while Hussey earned one kill, eight assists and three digs. Childs chipped in with six kills and three blocks, while Pippen tallied three kills, one block and five digs. Taylor also tallied three kills.
