It’s summer time so that means softball and baseball summer travel ball season is getting started and this past weekend Charles Henderson junior Jada Jones had a big start to her summer season.

Jones is playing for the Lady Dukes 16U Softball Team. In her first weekend of action, Jones shined with a .700 batting average in 12 plate appearances. She earned six singles, a home run, three RBIs and four runs with a 1.000 slugging percentage. On the defensive end, Jones earned a perfect fielding percentage with five putouts.

On June 1, against the Blue Angels, Jones went 2-for-2 at the plate with a home run, one RBI and two runs. She also went 2-for-2 against the Middle Georgia Elite with a run.

Jones is heading into her senior season at CHHS and has already committed to play college softball at Xavier University of Louisiana.
