On February 13, the new Lennox Kate Boutique officially opened. It replaced Amour Boutique and is located in the same building on 119 Southland Village off Highway 231.

Owner Judy Goodwin, is the mother-in-law of the pervious Amour Boutique owner Katy Goodwin. When Goodwin’s daughter-in-law decided to close her boutique, she wanted to keep a boutique going, so she opened Lennox Kate.

Goodwin expressed how grateful and thankful she is for the opportunity to serve the City of Troy. “This little town offers so much more than some may realize. The people here are one of a kind,” she said.

Goodwin wants to thank the people of Troy for their support of the boutique, and she hopes to continue to serve the community for years to come.

“We always love to hear feed back from our customers, so don’t hesitate to let us know how you think we’re doing. We pray that our business is half of the blessing that our customers are to us,” Goodwin said.

Susan Fortune, an employee, helped with the Amour Boutique when she was needed, but now she officially works at Lennox Kate.

“We carry a little bit of everything and we have items for teens and up,” Fortune said.

“There’s not necessarily one target customer base. It’s for a variety of locals as well as college students,” Blasingame, a Troy University student and employee at the boutique, added.

While the boutique was forced to close for a time during Covid-19, owners were able to sell items through Facebook and Instagram. Now their doors are open again for customers to come in and shop.
