Troy Cable services should be functioning fro most customers after services temporarily went down area-wide due to a squirrel or rat chewing through a transport line.

Internet services as well as some phone lines went down for residences and businesses utilizing the service Wednesday afternoon while Troy Cable officials sought to quickly resolve the issue.

The company reported that a rat or squirrel had chewed through the main transport line, causing the outage. Troy Cable officials said customers should not have to do anything to bring services back, but suggested power cycling wi-fi routers if connection does not return automatically.
