The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots knocked off Success Unlimited 10-6 in the regional finale on Friday night in Montgomery.

The Patriots, with the win, improve to 3-7 overall and 1-4 in region play. The win for the Patriots gives them their second-straight win over the Mustangs. They defeated Success Unlimited last year 7-6.

The Patriots scored the game’s first 10 points on Thursday night. Scott Taylor Renfroe nailed a 30-yard field goal to give the Patriots the first lead of the game at 3-0.

With 22.4 seconds remaining in the opening half, Davis Allen scored on a 21-yard touchdown run, putting the Patriots up 10-0.

The Mustangs cracked the scoreboard early in the fourth quarter when they scooped up a fumble and ran it back for a 30-yard touchdown.

The Patriots will return home next Friday to host Lakeside in the season finale. The Patriots will also honor their seniors for senior day. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
