Unity prayer breakfast held on Saturday

The annual Community through Christ prayer breakfast is this Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Troy Rec. Center in the basketball gym.

This year, the Vine Church is hosting this unity prayer breakfast, providing pancakes, coffee, and other breakfast foods.

The Vine’s youth pastor Hector Ramirez will be the guest speaker, giving a short message, and afterwards there will be prayer and fellowship for everyone in attendance to get to know each other.

The main goal for this event and the Community Through Christ organization is to bring churches and the people together and uniting the community. This event will also focus on praying over the city of Troy and its needs.

In preparation, all the pastors in Pike County, that could come, met to pray together and discuss the needs of Troy.

“We’re hoping that this prayer breakfast will be fruitful, that the pastors will bring their congregations, and that all members of the community will come and be a part of it,” said Amanda Johnson.

Everyone in the community is welcome to attend, and tickets will still be available at the door for $10 each.
