Deputies also seized $10,351 in cash, one large and small set of digital electronic scales, a 12-gauge pump-shotgun, Ruger caliber automatic rifle and assorted ammunition.

“This is a case the Pike County Sheriff’s department has been investigating for some time,” Sherriff Russell Thomas said. “He is known to the department and has a history with police. We were able to obtain enough information to be able to put together a search warrant.”

Thomas said without his drug investigators and Troy PD, the search and arrest would have not gone as well as it did.

“I appreciate the hard work that our drug-investigators do on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, Thomas said. “There is a lot of time involved in these investigations. We greatly appreciate the help the help of the Troy Police Department. It would have made a very substantial impact on this community and we were fortunate enough to arrest him.”

Trafficking in marijuana is a Class A Felony punishable by 20 years to life in prison.
