Eagles shutout Calhoun

The Goshen Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak Friday night when they knocked off Calhoun 34-0.

The win improves Goshen’s record to 3-4 overall and 3-2 in region play.

Quarterback Bryan Galloway completed four of his six passes for 75 yards with one touchdown pass. Will Snyder also got into the game at quarterback and completed one pass.

Running back Caleb Dawson rushed for 84 yards on just seven carries and scored two touchdowns, while Galloway added 27 yards on three carries.

JaMarkus Sanford led the receivers with three catches for 40 yards with one touchdown.

The Eagles scored their first touchdown of the game on a 21-yard touchdown run by Dawson to put the Eagles up 6-0.

Sanford hauled in his touchdown later in the quarter from 40-yards out.

In the second quarter, the Eagles had two rushing touchdowns by RaQuan Martin, one from four yards out and the other from one yard out.

Dawson took a Galloway handoff 18 yards for Goshen’s final touchdown of the evening.

The Eagles will be back in action next week when they host Central Hayneville in the first of back-to-back home games at Eagles Stadium.
