Money flowing in House Republican race

As the June 5 primaries approach, one candidate for the House of Representatives has greatly increased in contributions while both spent more money in April than they had previously.

Marcus Paramore brought in $34,750 in cash contributions in April, bringing him to $87,223.50 for his campaign overall. The increase is nearly 40 percent over the amount he had previously raised.

He still trails Wes Allen though, who has brought in $96,444.08 to date.

The two candidates are seeking to be the Republican nominee to represent District 89 in the Alabama House of Representatives.

In April, Paramore took in contributions of $2,500 from PCI (Biz), $250 from Tom and Deborah Davis, $1,000 from Franklin Resources Group LLC, $500 from International Paper PAC, $5,000 from Alabama Associated General Contractors PAC, $200 from Battlefield’s Store for Men, $100 from Donald Brewer, $2,500 from Capitol Resources PAC, $100 from Max and Arlene Davis, $100 from Peter M. The two candidates have one more month to raise and spend money before the Republican primary on Tuesday, June 5. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Republican nominee will face Democratic nominee Joel Lee Williams in the general election.
