Police identify bank robbery suspect

Troy police have identified a suspect in the robbery of Regions Bank last weekend and are seeking the public’s help in finding him.

Joey Takashima Howard, 41, of Skipperville, is accused of robbing the bank on Friday by slipping a note to the teller demanding money.

Howard reportedly entered the bank at approximately 2 p.m. on Friday, April 27.

Howard is reported to be approximately 6 feet tall and about 220 to 240 pounds.

He is charged with first-degree robbery in the incident and was last seen running across Corman Avenue after leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

First-degree robbery is a Class A Felony punishable by 20 years to life in prison. It includes making any appearance to have a dangerous weapon.
