George K. Botts, a resident of Brundidge, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at his residence. He was 78. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Baggett officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Mr. Botts was born November 29, 1939, to the late Joshua Clyde Botts and Florence Matilda Green Botts. He is survived by his wife, Frances Botts, Brundidge; daughters, Kay Edmonds, Phenix City, AL; Kayla Adams (Scott), Crestview, FL. Monica Morgan (Josh), Salem, AL, Inga Qualls (Allen) Troy, Ala.; sons, Stanley Richards (Charlotte), Jack, Ala., and Atlas Green (Rose), Brundidge; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Braxton, Columbus, Ga. and Mae Hand, Troy; and his sidekick, Bubba.
